film3 animation so far

so far its looking good. proberly the best one so far animation wise. And its fun to animate to. So this will need to be textured tommrow and animated for render. wish me luck. hope you lot enjoy this one. will be kool when sound is done in final movie

film2 hostel scene complete

this is the second episode of my project. this is the final and last one i will show on here. The next ones i show will just be image shots, becuase i dont want to spoil my work of yet or let people know what happens

im on schedule

well yesterday i completed my second film, the hostel chair one. and i think its ok. The animation is not great at all though =(. maya was really laggy for me with 2 mooms in the scene and some props not sure why though. I put in some lightning though just a simple spot light over the 2 characters. i sent my project to be renderd on the render farm yesterday before i left college, but when i checked my email today it said it had failed =( so tommrow when i start the 3rd film i will have to set up the render for the film i just completed. now also tommrow i will post up the video of it or some images, as i dont want to spoil anything =P

progress report

last week i spent my time finishing of the 1st film which was the burning at the stake scene. i got that done. mid last week. thing is even though im on my second film, ive only got 2 weeks left! to get this project done so i am very worried that i wont finish it. i just need to stick to my plan and ill be ok. this week i am doing 2nd and 3rd film hopefully. other then that i am enjoying this project i just prefer working in teams becuase it pushes me more and i like to make bigger more harder projects.

film3 set has been complete. just need to add both moom's in and animate again. Also i need to texture but that wont take long lol. bIG thanks to stuwart for letting me use his models from our previous project the mansion. Its good to recycle good things that have already been made.

now this is more like it!!!. im back on track. ive done the second film. renderd it today on render farm with no troubles im happy now. this is how all my 5 videos should be. this isnt the final video. more background sounds will have to be added, such as fire, drums, market sounds ect.

18 - 19 feb - finish film 1 - burned at the stake film COMPLETE
20 - 24 - finish film 2 - hostel chair theme
25 - 27 - finish film 3 - vlad implaer pike scene
2 -4 march - finish film 4 spiked coffin
5 - 10 march - finish film 5 - hanging scene

10 - 13 after effects + film editing and burn to cd ready for hand in on the 13th of march

My formative assesment

last week i had my formative assesment, that i think went rather well. last terms formative assesment went alot worse becuase i didnt have much work on my blog to show jared. Which resulted in me getting fails in my assesment criteria. but it didnt matter becuase at the summative assesment my blog was loads better and i ended up getting a good grade for it. So im sure this term i will step it up alot more with my blog and pull it through again i know i will. when my ass gets kicked in gear i usally get on with it.

but to make my blog better i need to relate my work more to the industry and other ideas that ive gottern my themes from. also need to put more learning things onto my blog that ive found. also my storyboards that ive done i will put up 2. but just in general fill my blog up alot more. so this is the start more to come.

I'm currently working on the Burned at the stake scene at the moment. next one will be the vlad the impaler one. these storyboard where just basic guidlines for me to follow in my films, as they are so short. the last 3 storyboards will come soon

a little teaser

ok this first film was only a few frames. its very short so i dont think i will use it as one of the films, but use it at the end to close the movie of. i might ask jared if i can do 5 films instead of the 6 now, as this one is so short and not worth one film at all. also i might ask jared if i can range them between 5 to 10 seconds long. becuase of the heavy snow last week not much work was done but atleast i got this done

progess is being made

progress has been made today, i textured and renderd out the first film. I even edited it a bit in after effects which is good. its very short the first film i think its under 20 miliseconds which is not good as they were ment to be around 10 seconds or less each. the next films i will try to make longer

not good start =(

well both monday and tuesday has been snowing alot, so the college has been closed. Plus the roads are so bad down my area i would never even get my car down my drive lol. so this has put me behind on work quite a bit, as monday and tuesday was for rendering =( grrr so i will have to re think my plans now.

last week was going good work wise, but other things came up like going to london to see musion which was a total let down by the way. Also last friday we had to film footage for another small project that we have been set =(. so last thursday and friday was animation for my first scene. i got a bit done but no where needed what was ment to be done. today im at home gunna look for some textures and get them done
